I'm not a trendspotter or a trendy girl, nevertheless, I'll write about some trends I see near me. Here I go:


Trends In Urbe:
There is a new fashion trend in College: the SillyBandz.

A lot of girls (and some boys) wear them in URBE.
SillyBandz is the brand from this rubber bands with a messy look when you wear them. The innovative thing about this bands is that they come as silhouettes from animals, tv shows characters, musical instruments and more. 
This is how they look before you wear them: 

Another trend in URBE is hoodies, because even though Maracaibo is a hot city, in URBE classrooms can be really really cold. 

You can see students with all kind of hoodies:  all colors, all brands... 


Trend In Sports: 
Nowdays a lot of players and athletes are wearing power balance bracelets. 
According to Power Balance producers this is a bracelet designed to work with your body's natural energy field and improve your balance, strength and flexibility. 
I don't know if that is true, what I know for sure is that most of the sports people wear them and a lot of people are following them and getting their power balance too.
Look here for example Cristiano Ronaldo and Shaquille O'Neil wearing them

Trend In Music:
Worldwide right now the trend in music is let every know you and promote yourself trough internet and social networks, it's just the way to go.
Anyone who resist to this, is just left behind.
Some Venezuelan bands as Famasloop give away their music too but also publish their CD with an genious design, stickers and more. In this way, people listen to them, know them and eventually will want and buy the CD.
They are a great band. In www.famasloop.com you can listen and download all their music. Here's a famasloop video I really like.

A little bit about my family...

Even though family trends has changed since 1960 or 1970 and there are a lot of divorced couples these days, I belong to a tradicional family.
My family is constituted by a Working Father, our absolut provider, and a Stay-at-home mother, who took care of my brothers, sisters and I and still does!. My mom and dad have been married for over fourty years. Can you believe it? 
Here's a picture of me with them. Is kind of old but I really like it because we're all dressed up (we were in a party ;)) 

About my brothers and sisters: 
Both my brother Henry and my sister Gine divorced and re-married. 
Here's a picture of my sister Gine with his actual husband, Carlos in their wedding day. They live in La Guaira now, they go frequently to the beach and they're very relax and happy.  

There are no widows or widowers in my family. 


And speaking of me, I'm single and available.

Unsolved Mysteries

Hi there pals.
This time I have to make my version of the story about these two guys.

Let's see...
I 'ts obvious that the guy in the purple sweater is a criminal who first of all broke the law by robbing a bank. How is that obvious? Well, a camera from a shop in front of the bank filmed everything about the crime comitted and in the tape you can see clearly everything (picture number one). 
Police catched him easilly because he didn't have car, he was just running around carrying the money.  
In the confession room (picture number two), he didn't have an alibi, he just told the detective that the guy from the video wasn't him, but you'll see... our detective is a professional and he knows that this guy is the real thieve even though he cried as a baby as you see in picture number three. 
This guy went to jail and this crime is no longer an Unsolved Mysterie.

La Churuata Vs. Mc Donalds

In this post I'll compare two restaurants from Maracaibo. 


La Churuata and Mc Donalds (from Bella Vista) are barely a couple of blocks away from each other but they have a lot of differences. 


La Churuata offers healthier food than Mc Donalds but Mc Donalds is cheaper.  
Mc Donalds's service is faster than in La Churuata's service but in La Churuata waiters and waitresses treat clients better. 
Furniture in La Churuata is more confortable than furniture in Mc Donalds. 


I like going to both restaurants but I go more frequently to Mc Donalds because is really fast, cheap and has a drive trouhg window, I mean... is the best deal for me ;) 

Hmmm, food.

Don't you just love eating? I do. I'd say is one of the things I enjoy the most.

Let's talk about food I like. Well, I basicly like anything that's deep fry, crunchy, tasty and unhealty.

Such as:

Patacones,

or french fries

I also love desserts.

I'm a sweet dishes's fan. For me is always a good time for a creamy ice cream or maybe some savory cake.

So, nothing bland or plain to me, please. Lots of sugar and oil is the way to go.

Highschool memories

I studied in Don Simon Rodriguez high school, that is a private high school in Urb. Las Lomas. 

I started 7th grade in 1997 and graduated in 2002. 

I didn't really loved high school as other people I know, but it wasn't a bad period in my life either.

I was a good student. I studied hard for every test. I remember my mother always felt very proud because of that and because I never gave her any problem at school.

In those five years I had some good teachers and some baaad teachers. 

Back then, I spent a lot of time with Dayana, who still is my best friend. 

 

Here I am with some of my classmates in a "Semana del Colegio". 

And well, that's about it, just a regular student in a regular highschool.

People in my Life

Meet the people in my life,

First of all, some of the members of my family.

In the very first pic, me and Ginesa, my mother, who has taught me everything about life. 

She can be grumpy sometimes but she's a really dedicated mom and known as a really good cook.

Then there is my father: Saul, the most diligent person I know, he can address any problem real fast and he has provide me of everything I own. 

My mom and dad have been married for over fourty years. They really are an example to follow and I love them for that.

The next two pictures belong to some of my nieces and nephews. 

First is Ingi, she's eighteen and she's very similar to me, we have very similar points of view about music, clothing, people, etc.

The two guys you see in the last picture of my family section are Robert and Alejandro, they are are brothers. Robert is six years old and Alejandro 6 months old. This guys provide all the fun that any auntie can dream about. 

Work:

Meet Richard (also known as Koko), he is an announcer in the radio station where I have my radio show. Mi working schedule is from 7 to 8 pm and his schedule is from 8 to 9. He's also a talented musician. Our conversations always are about music and stuff. He's such a nice guy. 

Acquaintance:

The guy with the camera is Sergio Zaurin, he's a documentary and movie director from Puerto La Cruz. I met him once during an interview we held in my radio program. He seems as a good guy and definitley is very talented. I don't know him deeply but I admire his work.

Friends:

The two girls with me in this picture are Mariale and Andry. They are two of my bests friends, we like to call ourselves "El Combo" because we travel very often, and go to plays and concerts together. We all have the strong feeling that if we don't go together, we won't have the same fun.

Then there are a couple of pictures of Dayana, my best friend of all times. I know her since elementary school. She's a doctor and a great person. She's very humble and caring and I'm really proud of her. 

College:

Meet Carlos, he's my classmate. He looks staid in this pic but he isn't. He's a great guy and he's always trying to make people laugh. He achieves that with me everytime. 

And my professor Doris, of course. The only one in all URBE who uses 2.0 tech in her evaluation plan. She's very energetic and patient and somehow finds beauty in the exhausting action of climbing URBE's steps.

I also wanted to include in this post Laureano Marquez, mi real life hero, he's a writer and humorist.

I love his books, his plays and his perspective of life. Somehow he's a really strong influence in my life and my carreer as well.

And well, they are some of the people in my life.

Rock the vote

"Rock the vote" is an expression many musicians used in order to persuade young people to vote last september 26th. 

They didn't have to persuade me. I vote early in the morning in every election. 

Anyhow here's my pic of my purple pinky with the usual rock hand-sign .

 I love the feeling of choosing the future of my country. Nobody should skip elections never.
